Pocatello Kitchen Remodel Options

Historic Neighborhood Kitchen Renovations

Pocatello's older neighborhoods have some of the most charming homes in southeast Idaho — and some of the most outdated kitchens. A full renovation of a 1920s–1970s kitchen in a Pocatello bungalow or ranch requires careful design: respecting the home's character while delivering modern function and storage.

  • Style-appropriate door profiles and hardware
  • Layout optimization for older floor plans
  • Island additions where the space allows
  • Plumbing and electrical coordination

New Construction Kitchen Finishing

South Pocatello and Chubbuck continue to see new construction, and homeowners finishing new builds often want better than the builder's standard cabinet package. We design and build full custom kitchens for new Pocatello-area builds — coordinating with your builder's timeline.

  • Custom over builder-grade quality
  • Coordinate with builder schedules
  • Full cabinet and countertop package
  • Move-in-ready installation

Investment Property Kitchens

Pocatello's ISU area and established neighborhoods have a robust rental market. For investment properties, we build durable, attractive kitchens that hold up to tenants and look good in listing photos — without the cost of a full custom build. We can talk through the options for your specific property.

  • Durable, easy-clean finishes
  • Quartz countertops for low maintenance
  • Efficient layouts that photograph well
  • Budget-conscious material selections

Why Pocatello Homeowners Choose Custom

Pocatello's housing market is diverse in a way that rewards thoughtful kitchen design. An older home in the historic district needs something different from a new build in Chubbuck — different proportions, different style cues, different storage challenges. Custom cabinetry is the answer to all of it because every kitchen is designed from scratch for the specific home, the specific family, and the specific way they cook and live. Big-box store cabinets are engineered for the median home; custom cabinets are engineered for yours.

  • Designed for your kitchen's layout Older Pocatello kitchens often have non-standard dimensions, soffits, and quirky configurations. We design around what's there, not around a catalog.
  • All plywood construction No particleboard boxes. Furniture-grade plywood, solid wood face frames, and dovetail drawer boxes — built to last 30+ years.
  • Full project in one quote Cabinets and countertops, designed together and installed by our team. You deal with one company, one schedule, and one point of contact.
  • Regular Pocatello scheduling We make regular trips to Pocatello for consultations and installations. Distance from our Idaho Falls shop doesn't translate to inconvenience for you.

Pocatello Kitchen Remodel Questions

How far do you travel for Pocatello kitchen projects?

Pocatello is about 50 minutes south of our Idaho Falls shop on I-15, and we travel there regularly for consultations, measurements, and installations. We serve Pocatello, Chubbuck, Inkom, and McCammon. The distance is factored into our scheduling — we visit Pocatello in clusters to keep things efficient, but it doesn't affect the quality or scope of work we can do in the area.

Can I spread out the Pocatello kitchen project in phases?

Yes, phasing is something we do with some clients. A common approach is to do upper cabinets and countertops first, then come back for base cabinets and an island — or vice versa depending on budget timing. We can also do just countertops if your existing cabinets are in good shape but the countertops are what's dragging the kitchen down. Tell us your timeline and budget and we'll work out a plan that fits.

What's the best countertop for a Pocatello rental property?

For rental properties, quartz is usually the best choice — it's non-porous, doesn't need sealing, resists stains and scratches well, and looks great in listing photos. It's a bit more upfront than laminate but holds up dramatically better to tenant use. If budget is the primary concern, we can discuss LVT or butcher block options as well. For owner-occupied Pocatello homes, granite and quartz are both excellent choices depending on the kitchen's aesthetic.

Do you do commercial kitchen work in Pocatello?

Our focus is residential — homeowner kitchens and investment residential properties. We don't build commercial kitchens (restaurants, institutional facilities). But if you're asking about a home-based business where the kitchen doubles as a workspace, or a high-end residential kitchen with commercial-style appliances, those are absolutely in our wheelhouse. Just describe your project and we'll let you know quickly if it's a fit.
