Custom Handcrafted Furniture in Idaho Falls, Idaho
Nothing in our shop is stock. Every piece of furniture we build is a commission — you describe what you want, we design it for your space and your life, and we build it by hand in our Idaho Falls workshop. You end up with something that fits exactly, looks exactly right, and will last for generations.
Commission a Custom PieceWhat We Build
From a single accent piece to a full bedroom set, we build furniture for every room and every purpose.
Live-Edge Dining Tables
A live-edge slab table is a one-of-a-kind piece — no two are the same. We source slabs from Idaho and regional mills, then design a base to match the character of the top. Walnut, maple, and cherry are the most requested species.
Farm Tables & Trestle Tables
Solid wood farm tables with breadboard ends, trestle bases, or turned legs. Built wide enough for a real Idaho Falls family dinner, and sturdy enough to handle it. Available in any length and finish.
Bedroom Sets
Bed frames, dressers, nightstands, and armoires built as a matched set in the species and finish of your choosing. Each piece is designed to proportion for your room and built to the same standard throughout.
Coffee Tables & Side Tables
Solid wood coffee tables with storage drawers, lift-tops, or lower shelves. End tables in matching or complementary species. Designed to look right in your living room, not just in a catalog photo.
Desks & Home Office Furniture
Writing desks, standing desks, L-shaped configurations, and drafting tables — built to your height, your working style, and your room's dimensions. Cable management and drawer configurations built in from the start.
Benches & Storage Ottomans
Entryway benches, mudroom benches with shoe storage below, upholstered bench seats with hinged-lid storage, and bedroom benches. Functional pieces that look like furniture, not hardware.
Outdoor-Grade Furniture
Patio dining tables, Adirondack chairs, porch benches, and outdoor buffet tables built from white oak, teak-finish species, or pressure-treated hardwoods. Finished with UV-resistant exterior coatings rated for Idaho's climate.
Heirloom Pieces
Hope chests, cedar-lined blanket boxes, display cases, and one-of-a-kind statement pieces built to be passed down. If you have a piece of furniture in mind that doesn't fit a category, describe it — we'll tell you if we can build it.
Wood Species We Work With
The wood species determines the character of the piece. We work with a range of domestic hardwoods and can source regionally where possible. Each species has its own grain pattern, working properties, and finish behavior — we'll help you choose the right one for the piece you have in mind.
- White & Red Oak Open grain, strong figure, finishes beautifully — one of the most versatile and durable options for furniture. Excellent for farm tables and bedroom pieces.
- Black Walnut Rich brown tones with dramatic figure in live-edge slabs. The premium choice for statement dining tables and heirloom pieces.
- Hard Maple Tight grain, smooth texture, takes paint extremely well. Ideal for painted bedroom sets and desks where a smooth surface matters.
- Cherry, Hickory & Alder Cherry darkens beautifully over time. Hickory has dramatic color contrast and exceptional hardness. Alder takes stain evenly and is an economical choice with great results.
- Reclaimed Wood Barn wood, salvaged lumber, and old-growth reclaimed material for pieces where character, patina, and history are part of the design intent.

How a Custom Piece Gets Made
Your Idea
Tell us what you want — a rough description, a photo you love, dimensions you need, or a problem you're trying to solve. We start from whatever you bring us.
Sketch & Quote
We sketch the piece, propose a wood species and finish, and give you a written quote. Revise the design as many times as needed — we want you to be confident before we start cutting wood.
Built by Hand
Your piece is built in our 8,000 sq ft Idaho Falls shop by the same craftsmen who designed it. Most furniture pieces take 4–8 weeks in the shop, depending on complexity and material lead times.
Delivery & Setup
We deliver to your Idaho Falls home and set the piece in place. For large pieces like dining tables or bed frames, we assemble on-site so there's no risk of damage during a tight doorway move.
Custom Furniture FAQs
How do I commission a custom furniture piece?
Start by reaching out through our contact form or by phone. Tell us what you have in mind — even a rough idea is enough to start a conversation. We'll ask a few questions about size, species preference, finish, and budget, then sketch something up and send a quote. There's no commitment required to get a quote, and we can do the initial discussion entirely by phone or email if you're not ready to meet in person.
How long does a custom dining table take to build?
A solid wood farm table or live-edge dining table typically takes 5–8 weeks from signed quote to delivery. Live-edge pieces can take slightly longer if we're sourcing a specific slab. We'll give you a more precise timeline once we know the species and configuration. Because our shop is local to Idaho Falls, we can often get started faster than an out-of-state furniture maker.
What does custom furniture cost?
It depends significantly on the piece, the species, and the complexity. A solid oak farm table might start around $1,800–$2,800. A live-edge walnut dining table runs higher — typically $3,000–$6,000+ depending on the slab and base design. Bedroom sets are priced by the individual pieces. We'll give you a written itemized quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises.
Can you match a specific wood species I already have?
Usually, yes. If you have existing furniture in a particular species or finish, bring a photo and — if possible — a small sample or the name of the stain. We can typically get very close on species and finish. Some older or exotic species require sourcing, which can affect lead time, but we'll be upfront about that in the quote process.
Commission Your Custom Piece
Every project starts with a conversation. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll figure out the rest. No obligation to get a quote — just an honest assessment of what your piece would look like and what it would cost.
